Holiday parks in Cornwall: why choose Harlyn Sands?
Let’s be honest, there’s lots of holiday parks in Cornwall to choose from. All are different in their accommodation offering, setting and value for money. So, how on earth do you choose which one is right for you and your family?
To help you make the right choice, we’ve put together a handy check-list so you can decide which holiday park to choose.
As Phil and Kirstie always say, it really is all about location, location, location. And, whether you’re buying a house or choosing from one of the many holiday parks in Cornwall, where it is based is so important.
Cornwall may only be a small county in terms of its population and size but it can take several hours to get from one end to the other. So, don’t book yourself into a holiday park in Bude if you’re really keen on spending some time at St Michael’s Mount in West Cornwall because you’ll spend more time in your car travelling than you will at this popular tourist destination.
You also need to decide whether you want to be close to the coast, country or near one of the county’s busy resorts. This can make a big difference to your enjoyment; avoid those busy coastal towns, like Newquay, if you prefer the quiet life! And, if you love beach holidays, make sure you’re not a million miles from the sand! Be warned, some holiday parks in Cornwall are known to be more than a little creative with the truth when it comes to proximity to the beach…
At Harlyn Sands you can be rest assured that we’re definitely close to the beach. Harlyn Bay and Beach is just a short walk from our holiday park, meaning you can be on the beach soaking up the sun (or exploring rockpools with the kids) in a matter of minutes! Our location near Padstow means you’re close to the centre of Cornwall, too, so you can explore all that this county has to offer with ease. East, west, north or south – you’re equidistant from anywhere you’d want to go.
However, you may just wish to explore the beautiful north coast region around our park. From here you can visit the idyllic destinations of Padstow (famous as the home town of celebrity chef Rick Stein), Port Isaac (home of TV’s most grumpy doctor – Doc Martin), Tintagel (home of the legend of King Arthur) or Newquay (the surfing capital of the UK).
Another important factor when choosing a park is the facilities that are available to guests. Some parks provide just about everything you could even want while some are basic and don’t offer facilities such as a swimming pool, shop or launderette.
Here at Harlyn Sands we take great pride in the holiday facilities we offer to your guests. In fact we believe our facilities stand up against any holiday parks in Cornwall! Dive in to our heated indoor swimming pool, dance along to the range of top live entertainment on offer throughout the year or enjoy the rides at our mini fun fair! There’s also a kids club on site to help keep your little ones entertained plus all the usual toilet and shower amenities for our touring and camping guests!
Everybody likes to have a little choice in life, don’t they. Surely, then, it’s the same when it comes to choosing your holiday accommodation. Don’t choose a holiday park with just one or two grades of holiday accommodation. Look for one that has a range of different grades (including dedicated pet friendly units for those who want to bring their pooch along!)
Here our Padstow caravan park you can choose from SEVEN different types of holiday homes for your stay! Barring a few necessities, they come with just about everything you need for the perfect self-catering stay!
Value for money
At the end of the day we all want to get the best possible holiday for the best, don’t we? No one like to feel short changed. When you book a stay at our holiday park near Padstow you can safe in the knowledge that you’re getting a great deal. We’re one of the most competitively priced holiday parks in Cornwall so you can sit back, relax and enjoy having a little more spending money in your pocket!
