Hello guys and gals! Ollie here again with another edition of Harlyn Sands blogs. One of the best things about holidays at Harlyn Sands caravan park is that in Padstow, we have a prime location near so many wonderful sights in Cornwall!

I thought I would make this small list of just some of the places to visit while you’re staying with us. Learn more about us on our website using this link https://www.harlynsands.co.uk/ but let’s get round to my personal top 5 attractions to visit around Cornwall!

Bedruthan Steps

When camping with Harlyn Sands we ensure that our guests have a wonderful time but stepping outside of Padstow and into the vast and open world of Cornwall really can make your holiday! Resonating only a short distance away from our wonderful holiday park is the remarkable landmark known as Bedruthan Steps. Once upon a time the legend says that a giant used these enormous stepping stones as a shortcut across the bay. Nowadays, it’s a true spectacle of steep cliffs, amazing rock formations, and some of the most amazing views you could ever hope to encounter. Located in
Mawgan Porth, it’s only a short drive from Padstow!

Fistral Beach

Spending time on the beaches is a favourite pass time for us at Harlyn. Our splendid Harlyn Bay is situated only a short walk away from the main campsite where we have many activities for you and your family to enjoy. Whether you enjoy surfing, watching surfers, or just a general fan of going to the beach, Fistral is a splendid day out with plenty to offer! The views are epic, the sunsets glisten on the horizon of the sea and the bars are always busy. Fistral beach is located in Newquay which is a
wonderful town filled with lively characters and a tranquil seaside aura which you wish you could stay forever! Truly a great day out when visiting us in Padstow and wanting to take full advantage of your camping holiday in Cornwall.

Lost Gardens Of Heligan

Want to go on an adventure? Filled with magic and mystery, only a short distance from Harlyn Sands holiday park are the lost gardens of Heligan! Within the depths of Saint Austell is a jungle of architecture, beauty, and an atmosphere of fantasy and wonder. The lost gardens of Heligan hold a light show every year at night time which fills the garden with spectacular shows, a trail to follow, and several educational stopping points. Somewhere definitely worth checking out when enjoying your holiday in Cornwall. If you are lucky enough to be visiting us at Harlyn Sands holiday park whilst the immense event is taking place, we highly recommend traveling to St Austell and gazing at which is only a short distance from camping with us in Padstow!

The Eden Project

But why stop there? Another spectacle near St Austell is the Eden Project. The Eden Project is a UK based charity with the mission of connecting mankind with the natural world! The biodomes there house various wonders which you would normally only find in the rainforests or other reaches of the world. It’s the perfect place to really get lost in your ever-growing fascination for life outside of the normal day to day routines. It’s not far from Harlyn Sands and is somewhere that should not be missed!

Carn Brea Castle

Let’s go see who’s the king or queen of the Carn Brea Castle! A bit more of a distance from the Harlyn Sands caravan park but well worth the trip. Within Cornwall there are so many spectacles and wonders it’s difficult to choose a top 5. For my fifth choice I have selected Carn Brea Castle. A tiny fortress that perches high on a massive hill and is one of the highest points in Cornwall at 215m (750ft). Located so it’s overlooking industrial towns Redruth, Pool, and Camborne, it’s definitely a sight worth setting your eyes onto.

With so many various and tantalizing options where would you begin? Keep up to date with our blogs on the Harlyn Sands website https://www.harlynsands.co.uk/our-park/news/ to make sure you know what we’re up to.
